Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect information to respond to your enquiry, guide your study plans and handle applications you authorise. We do not sell your details. We share them with a university or service provider only when necessary for the work you have asked us to do. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information.

This policy covers the Abroad Setu website and our counselling and application services.

What we ask you for

• When you contact us: your name, phone number, email and the study plans you choose to share. We may ask for your city and date of birth when needed for counselling or an application.
• When we work on an application: marks and transcripts, test scores, your CV, statement of purpose, work experience and passport details where a university or visa process requires them.
• When you pay for a service: the amount, date and payment reference. Where a payment partner is used, payment details are handled through that partner. We do not request your full card number, CVV or banking password.
• Technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device, may be processed by the hosting infrastructure to deliver and secure this website. The enquiry endpoint uses an IP-based request counter in temporary server memory to limit spam during a 15-minute window; that counter does not store your form contents.

Enquiries on this website

When you press Submit enquiry, your form details are sent securely through FormSubmit to info@abroadsetu.com so we can respond. FormSubmit processes the details to deliver the email and may temporarily retain submissions while a form awaits activation. Completing fields without submitting does not send them. The email fallback opens a draft on your device; you decide whether to send it. Please avoid including passports, bank documents or other unnecessary sensitive information in an enquiry.

Refer a friend

The referral options let you copy our website link or open WhatsApp or your email app with a prepared message. You choose the recipient and whether to send it. This website does not ask for or store your friend’s contact details.

Career enquiries

The Careers page prepares an email draft on your device. Attach your resume in your email app and send it to us if you choose. We use the information you send to assess relevant opportunities and contact you about recruitment. You may ask us to delete your recruitment details by emailing info@abroadsetu.com.

Why we need it

• To advise you on courses, countries and universities, and prepare applications you authorise.
• To answer calls, messages and emails.
• To manage service payments and receipts.
• To keep you informed about your application, deadlines and intakes. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to promotional messages. You can ask us to stop any promotional contact.
• To meet legal duties and help prevent fraud.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where needed in these situations:

Information may be processed outside India when an overseas university or a provider involved in your enquiry or application handles it. Their own privacy and retention practices may also apply.

• Universities and colleges you have asked us to apply to.
• Providers that help us operate, such as email, messaging, payment and storage services, for the purpose of supporting our work.
• Government or court authorities where a valid legal request requires it.
• A buyer or successor if Abroad Setu is sold or merged. We would let you know about that change.

Cookies and saved choices

The destination comparison uses browser session storage to remember the countries you select. This stores country choices, not your enquiry details. The choices last for your browser tab session. You can remove them using Clear comparison or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

We have not added analytics or advertising tracking to this website. Hosting infrastructure may use essential technologies to deliver and secure the site. Blocking browser storage can prevent saved comparison choices from working.

Keeping it safe

Access to student files is limited to team members who need them. We use secure systems to store and send information. No internet system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

How long we hold it

We keep your information while you use our services and for as long afterwards as legal duties, our accounts or a possible dispute require. When there is no reason to keep it, we delete it or remove identifying details.

What you can ask us to do

Send your request to info@abroadsetu.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity and will reply within a reasonable time.

• Show you the information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information unless we must retain it by law.
• Stop promotional messages.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave.

If you are under 18

Use our services together with a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, ask your parent or guardian to make the enquiry with you and take part in decisions about applications and paid services.

Links that leave our site

Outside services, including Instagram, WhatsApp, maps and email services, have their own privacy policies. We do not control how those providers handle information.

When this policy changes

We will update the effective date when this policy changes. For significant changes, we will also provide notice on the website or by email.
